What services are offered by DDS?

DOCUMENT DESTRUCTION
We pickup and destroy confidential files into non-reconstructible fragments for recycling. We supply a variety of security containers and provide regularly scheduled pick-up and billing or can provide one-time service. All files are tracked from client to destruction and a notarized certificate of destruction is provided for all materials picked up and destroyed.

COMPUTER RECYCLING
The ability to "wipe" the data from computer hard drives may or may not be true. There are people, techniques, and equipment that can, for enough money, recover some if not most of the wiped data. The only sure method is to copy the data you wish to keep and then "shred" the old media drives. Tightening EPA regulation regarding lead, mercury and other toxic chemicals in the environment is causing concerns with disposal of old computers and electronic equipment in landfills. Document Destruction Services will pick up old computers and phone systems and demunufucture them for recycling. The hard drives will be shredded and the components containing toxic substance, such as the monitor tubes , will be sent to an approved recycler. Contact us for a free estimate.

RECORDS STORAGE
The period of time that business records are stored should be determined by a retention schedule. Document Destruction Services can assist in locating storage space off site to insure uninterruption of your business in case of a natural disaster or fire. Records from storage facilities of DDS can be shredded at a reduced cost. "No record should be kept longer than the approved, retention time.”

RECORDS MANAGEMENT AUDIT
A professional information disposal consultant is available to review your records management practices. Every business is entrusted with information that must be kept private. Employees and customers have the legal right to have this data protected. Without proper safeguards, information ends up in the dumpster where it is readily available to anyone. Ask for this free service.

ELECTRONIC DATA STORAGE
